Know Your Auxiliary

History
At the request of the Hospital Board of Directors, El Camino Hospital Auxiliary was organized in 1958 and became incorporated under the laws of the State of California in 1959.   The Auxiliary organizations for Los Gatos and Mountain View merged when the new Los Gatos campus opened in July of 2009.   El Camino Hospital Auxiliary is affiliated with the American Hospital Association and the California Association of Hospitals and Health Systems.

Mission
As a viable and stable organization, we are dedicated to quality service that will reach out and touch all members of our health care community.

Vision
The vision of the El Camino Hospital Auxiliary is to render volunteer service to El Camino Hospital, its patients, and the community; to grant scholarships in the health professions; and to provide financial support for approved projects.

  • I will be punctual and conscientious in the fulfillment of my duties and accept supervision graciously.
  • I will conduct myself with dignity, courtesy and consideration.
  • I will consider as confidential all information which I may hear, directly or indirectly, concerning a patient, doctor, or member of staff.
  • I will never seek information in regard to a patient, nor ask for any personal medical information, nor make special requests from medical staff or hospital employees.
  • I will always use the name and title of professional staff members, though they may be personal friends.
  • I will always endeavor to maintain the highest quality of work.
